Who run the world? Girls. And today marks the launch of a global movement to celebrate, empower, and support female entrepreneurs worldwide – Women’s Entrepreneurship Day. An unparalleled leader in female entrepreneurism every year from 2014 and beyond, Women’s Entrepreneurship Day stars as a leading force for growth and change for women and their businesses.

And as such, GMG thought it was only fitting to give a shout out to some of the amazing female entrepreneurs that we have had the honor of working with throughout the years.

Marie Rourke. Recognized throughout the IT channel for her straightforward, business-minded approach, Marie is the owner, principal and client strategist of WhiteFox Marketing and Communications. With over a decade of experience in the IT channel, Marie’s client experience includes high profile technology companies such as Intronis, Ingram Micro Inc. and Juniper Networks, as well as emerging and established IT vendors, solution providers and MSPs including N-able Technologies and Websense.

Rose Donna. As the director and co-founder of Magpi, leading provider of configurable, cloud-based mobile data collection and communication applications, Rose leads Magpi’s strategic initiatives and manages consulting efforts for partner organizations around the world. An experienced entrepreneur and innovator in mobility, international health and development, and disaster response, Rose has helped more than 30,000 users in over 170 countries through Magpi’s survey builder app. Rose’s entrepreneur story was also recently featured in the Washington Business Journal, surrounding Magpi’s use in the fight against Ebola. When she’s not working with Magpi, Rose pursues other entrepreneur endeavors, co-owning a bar, The Wonderland Ballroom, in Washington, D.C. with her husband.

Cindy Praeger. A serial entrepreneur with a passion for starting and growing companies and developing win-win partnerships, Cindy is the cofounder of Rhythm Systems, the industry’s only provider of a complete, cloud-based strategy execution software platform that facilitates airtight execution and measurability for mid-market CEOs. Rhythm Systems takes into account the fact that only 3.2% of companies ever get bigger than $10 million and is focused on helping this select group of CEOs from high-growth companies to obtain and surpass their goals by empowering their teams, aligning and executing objectives and growing with purpose. More than 3,000 users worldwide rely on Rhythm’s patented system to drive success for both the individual and the team.

Teresa Zobrist. As the president and CEO of Zobrist Consulting Group, Inc., Teresa has a track record of success stemming from four decades of experience in IT, with more than 30 years specializing in IBM technology. Her entrepreneurial vision drives daily initiatives at Zobrist to help clients achieve sustainable competitive advantage through strategic use of information technology.  Teresa and the Zobrist team are dedicated to creating large-scale applications and e-commerce solutions for well-known brands such as The North Face and JanSport.

Michelle Faulkner. As the agency principal at Big Swing Communications, Michelle helps drive aggressive marketing and PR programs for technology companies, offering a unique blend of strategic counsel with hands-on execution. Michelle brings more than 15 years of experience to the industry and is known for helping clients develop compelling messages and get the word out through highly creative, integrated, public relations and marketing.

Rochelle Dallons. The owner of Yield Bookkeeping, Rochelle specializes in small business bookkeeping for a variety of businesses. After 20 years in the world of corporate accounting, Rochelle branched out on her own to provide personalized, accurate and affordable bookkeeping services to small to mid-sized businesses.

Leah Nurik. Last, but certainly not least, GMG’s CEO and Founder. Leah founded Gabriel Marketing Group (GMG) in 2010 and the firm has grown threefold since. A truly integrated technology marketing company, GMG exclusively services high-growth tech companies and established B2B technology players. GMG has continued to be a success over the years, nearly doubling its staff, relocating to a larger office just outside of Washington, D.C. this past spring to accommodate for its rapid growth, and adding more than 12 new, disruptive tech companies to its client roster – thanks to Leah’s vision and leadership.

These are just a handful of the amazing female entrepreneurs we have come across through our work in the field. As a woman-owned company our self, GMG is truly thrilled to celebrate Women’s Entrepreneurship Day and to see how far women have come in the ultra-competitive business world. We hope women around the world continue to bring their business dreams to life and inspire others to do the same.

Have you worked with some awesome female entrepreneurs? We would love to hear about other women who are changing the world, one woman-owned business at a time.
